With game protagonists, can their canon be minorly altered to an alternative that they technically couldn't have but exists within the game? For example in Fable 2, the game this character is from, there's a quest that can lead to you marrying one of the npcs involved. The relationship is always a straight one (if you chose a male hero you get a female npc and vice versa). Would it be okay to flip the npc's gender?
