Dump it in the cache with the others and open another support ticket, this is getting out of hand..." ![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png){kind=small} databurst is a panfandom jamjar game set in the computer simulation of a futuristic neon city called Svelte, with themes broadly drawn from sources like The Matrix, Star Ocean, and various cyberpunk series. The setting aesthetic could be summed up as "what if M.C. Escher was obsessed with neon and wrote programming code".Characters find themselves trapped in the Svelte simulation, where they must deal with a myriad of challenges as "code revisions" are introduced which affect their surroundings, their bodies and minds, causing all sorts of unexpected hijinks. Meanwhile their real world status is unknown, as is the exact nature of how they came to be inside the program, and the identity of those controlling it. While there is evidence that their physical selves here are nothing more than code-generated avatars, there are also unexplained elements which contradict it... |
