There's actually another character trying this same approach with an NPC, so if you're interested in threading it out, I will do a closed log for both of you this month (with separate threads, obviously) so I can keep all the NPC tags in one place?

There is absolutely plot development to be had here, so coming across it ICly would be the ideal choice for me to get you that information.
