Nyooooom hi I am back again with a few more questions.
1. How much cross-compatibility is there when it comes to a character using a network device they brought into the game with them compared to what the ones all new users are provided with? Like can someone with the right skills modify their existing device to be able to access everything the provided one can, or are some things only available through the provided one, and if so, which functions/apps?
2. If a character is savvy with pattern analysis and other high level calculations and shit, and if they are bored enough to spend ample time studying and analyzing, could they learn to detect patterns that random glitches and the like may follow? For example, being able to predict which days of the week or times of day that restaurant three blocks over tends to be an Italian restaurant and which days it's a tattoo parlor with a bar in the waiting room, or what conditions might make it more likely for you to be teleported from one location to another in your sleep (e.g. dumb little mundane actions before you went to bed trigger the teleportation and determine the location you wake up). Obviously not being 100% accurate but having good chances of getting it right, mainly.
3. There is a universal translator. How much wiggle room flexibility is there for multi-lingual characters to intentionally keep some words/phrases untranslated, or like... lost in translation shenanigans like the auto-translator making a mess of an attempt at shiritori by characters who speak different native languages and it turns the results into nonsense? In other words how fallible or infallible is the translation function, is it susceptible to glitches, difficult to translate phrases/words, or a character's own stubbornness, etc.
