Hello mods! Quick shot in the dark here, since I play from a canon that's...a bit of a grey area in terms of release: I wanted to check in and see what the verdict would be on apping a character from a canon that's currently in a weird fixed-beta status.
I'd be way more than happy to warn thoroughly for spoilers and use a full opt-out list, as well as straight up pulling him from the intro of the game so there's no real spoiler overlap, but Baldur's Gate 3 has been in purchasable/playable pre-release for about a year now and will probably stay that way for a long, long time to come. It's immediately playable, voice-acted, etc, and the bugs that are being worked out don't have anything to do with the story itself, so I figure it won't have much of an impact on things since Astarion already unloads his backstory in his romance arc (thanks, bioware-type cutscenes) and the footwork's already been set down.
I also have a full list of youtube cutscenes/wikis to use as references because of it, so there's plenty of reference material to pull from in evaluation.
If this isn't cool, no worries! I can survive the indefinitely long winter ahead, I just thought I'd make sure.
