Player Name: wwwayfarer (hiiiiii 💖💖💖 it's me again 💖💖💖) Plot Summary: Two ideas.
First: future vision, wherein characters get flashes of what will be/could be in their canon going forward from the point where they got stolen by the Sim. Players can opt for canon timelines where the character is present, alternate ones where their Sudden Vanishing is being dealt with by the forces back home, or both.
Second: "worldhopping." Some means of characters getting glimpses of the world where each other are from. Not literal plane-shifting, just seeing and feeling, probably some sim-within-a-sim shit. Ray Bradbury "The Veldt" nonsense. Or even sections of the city turning into places from home???? Whether this is accidentally or forcefully thrust upon the characters, or they get to choose to share these experiences, or both, it is up to however the event works out. Simulated VR-room worlds would probably have the most basic of figures to populate them, like NPCs with no programming and no purpose but to fill out an area so it's not Literally Empty. Or maybe they are empty!
Character(s) Involved: No one in mind in particular, other than players getting to fuck around.
Outcome: 1) Characters get insight on the future and all their what-might-bes when they go home. Cue panic and existential crises and all the fun punishments that come with both knowing the future and what may be occurring in a place that you can no longer visit and can do nothing about.
2) Characters get to see for real, in person, what each others' locales and places are like!! Wanna see this fucked up fairy magic maze? Now you can! Wanna see this cool alien sci fi world and the awesome spaceship I arrived in on it? Now you can!! Want to see this horrible dismal rainy apocalypse city I hail from? Now you can!!!! Cue the crossing of genre wires!
If the "worldhopping" event does go with the flavor of random chunks of the city turning into areas ripped out of characters' worlds, rather than funny Veldt-style VR rooms or something, then... I mean, well that pretty directly impacts the city. That's a thing.
Timing: Whenever, however long! Resolution: Event ends? I have nothing in mind.
