✘ RULES & ACTIVITY
ıllıllı RULES ıllıllı Everything on this page is considered a rule or guideline that all members are expected to adhere to. The game functions on a cumulative three-strike policy, meaning that all the rules listed on this page count towards the same pool of strikes. When at all possible, the mod will speak with the player to resolve any issues before issuing a strike becomes necessary. The mod reserves the right to preempt the strike system or refuse entry to the game for gross violations of conduct, such as in instances of documented player harassment, hate speech of any kind, rule or ban evasion, or if a prospective player's admission would cause undue discomfort to the playerbase at large. It is required that you read everything on this page. By submitting an application, you are agreeing to adhere to everything outlined here whether you read it or not. ıllıllı PLAYER CONDUCT & GUIDELINES ıllıllı Players must be courteous and reasonable when in communications with each other and with the mod, and are expected to behave in a way that fosters a cohesive, amicable atmosphere within the game for players and mod alike. This applies to interactions both on the game communities and on game-related social spaces (plurk, discord, etc). If you have an issue with another player, you're asked to bring it to them in a constructive manner and where possible, provide some sort of documentation of the problem. If you're not comfortable doing so, please contact the mod with said information and they will act as an intermediary. Players must be over the age of 18. NO EXCEPTIONS. Violations of this rule will result in an immediate ban from the game. Mature Themes & Content Warnings The rating for this game is 18+ and may contain mature themes including but not limited to: violence, substance abuse, sexual content, or other triggering themes. A log or post containing any of the above mentioned topics or similar content must be clearly marked to include relevant warnings and, if the rating would exceed "R", must be members-locked to the community. While this is not a smut game, we do allow sexual content to be threaded as long as the characters are of legal age. Characterization (Stay IC) Players should strive to portray their characters authentically based on their canon and as outlined in their application. While game happenings will develop characters beyond their starting point, at no point should they become unrecognizable from their original selves. IC & OOC Don't blur the IC/OOC line! This includes godmoding, 4th walling, metagaming and not respecting the boundaries established by other players in relation to their characters such as outlined in permissions posts. Remember that IC =/= OOC and that just because two characters don't get along, that's no excuse for their players to have contention too. Playercest Or, having your own characters interact with one another. Given the smaller character pool due to the game cap, playercest is allowed (though should be done sparingly), however these threads are not eligible to use toward AC points. Mandatory Posts This game requires that all players have an accessible HMD, and have a permissions/opt-out post in their character journal(s). It is at player discretion how they wish to address screening/anon/IP tracking — we only require that the posts be present. If your application is in a journal post, it must be left unlocked for the duration of the character's tenure in game (so players and the mod can reference it!) ıllıllı ACTIVITY & POSTING ıllıllı Activity Requirements The monthly activity requirement for the game is 10 points from any combination of the following: ✘ 1 post (log OR network) = 3 points ✘ 1 log tag = 2 points ✘ 1 network tag = 1 point ✘ 1 inbox or TDM tag = 1 point AC points may be accumulated across a maximum of 5 threads. Logs must have some body or starter content to qualify for the 3 AC points. Log tags count whether done in bracket or prose style, and regardless if they are in the log comm OR if they transition to an action thread branching off a network post. Inbox and TDM tags count as a single point regardless of their formatting (log/network). Monthly Activity Check As of July 2021 State of the Game we have moved to an OPEN MONTHLY AC, meaning players can now submit their activity at any point during a given month once they have it. Backtagging on older posts is allowed, but all comments submitted for AC points must be from the month of the current check. You can only use a given thread once for AC, but you can use different threads from the same post across more than one month if the comments fall within the AC period. A reminder post will go up during the last week of the month, but there is NO warning list for Activity Checks after the month closes; players are encouraged to track the #activity check tag in the OOC community! Failure to respond to the Activity Check without having a hiatus notice submitted will result in your character(s) being swept from the game. Any player who does not make their AC requirements for two consecutive months will be dropped from the game and may not re-apply until the following month (as the game and cast caps allow). The mod reserves the right to speak with a player if we notice that they are abusing the Activity Check system by taking frequent strategic hiatuses, by intentionally not pursing cross-canon CR (only tagging within their cast) or other similar game disruptive behaviors. ACTIVITY EXEMPTIONS Players are exempt from a given month's AC if they have been on hiatus for at least 7 consecutive days in that calendar month, which will be noted as part of the hiatus confirmation. Players may not hiatus for two Activity Checks in a row unless extenuating circumstances are approved beforehand — if you need an exception, please let the mod know ASAP! If it is your first month with a character after their acceptance, you are required to check in on the AC but are not required to have AC points (but if you have them, feel free to submit them.) Game Communities Game Discord ServerLatest Revision: Updated the AC section to reflect the movement to an open AC style per the latest SOTG post. NAVIGATION ➤ |
