ıllıllı APPLICATIONS ıllıllı ◀ PLEASE SEE THIS POST FOR MORE INFORMATION ▶ APP CYCLE INFORMATION Applications open at 12:01PM (ET) on the 7th of the month and close at 11:59PM (ET) on the 12th of the month, or when all available application spots for the month have been filled. The game adheres to Dreamwidth timestamps — applications posted outside this window will not be accepted. (Timezone Converter?) Apps are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. You may submit 1 application per app round. A reserve is not required to apply, but is encouraged. You may not apply for a character reserved by another player until their reserve expires on the 10th (if no app has been submitted). We do not accept application challenges. Please read through the Rules and the Frequently Asked Questions posts before submitting an application. Guidelines for eligible characters are located in the FAQ post. CHARACTER LIMITS There is a total game character limit of 80 characters, of which no more than six can be from the same franchise in play. The current character count, and any canons at or nearing cap, can be found on the Taken Characters page. SUBMITTING YOUR APP You may either post your application in the comments or link to a non-locked post in your journal. If your application is in a journal post, it must be left unlocked for the duration of the character's tenure in game (so players and the mod can reference it!). If your application requires REVISIONS, you will have 72 hours to provide them, otherwise your application will receive either an ACCEPTED or DECLINED response. Please submit your application with the subject line: Character Name | Canon | Reserved/Not Reserved Applications are not screened. SPECIAL NOTE: Due to the capped nature of the game, placing a reserve does not guarantee you an application spot with regards to either cast caps or overall game cap. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis with regard to the overall caps. Reserving a character simply means that no one else can place an application for that character unless the reserve expires. ıllıllı APPLICATION TEMPLATE ıllıllı PLAYER INFORMATION PLAYER NAME: How you prefer to be addressed; handle, pronouns, etc OVER 18?: This game is 18+ only PREFERRED CONTACT(S): Plurk, Discord, etc OTHER CHARACTERS: Do you play anyone else here already? CHARACTER INFORMATION CHARACTER NAME: And any aliases, if relevant CANON: Canon name and media type if relevant TIMELINE: Character's point in their timeline AGE: If unspecified in canon, give your best estimate REFERENCE: A wiki/etc link about the character. If you are applying for an original character, or a canon character with incomplete or minimal references, BRIEFLY summarize their background (500 words or less). PERSONALITY: Describe the character's motivations and typical actions, their rationale and thought process, their personality strengths and weaknesses. How have they been most impacted by the people around them? What events have shaped their perception and their reactions? What things are likely to set them off? (800 words or less) ABILITIES: Briefly outline any abilities above and beyond those of a baseline human. While the setting interferes with reality-warping powers and some technological powers to prevent game breakage, some events will further affect these abilities for periods of time. See the Powers & Damages section on the FAQ page for more information about power nerfing. PERSONAL EFFECTS: Please include any notable possessions your character has on them such as weapons, tools, or unusual inventory they may have. If these items have special powers/magic/etc, elaborate on them IF they are not included in the Abilities section. PRIZED POSSESSION: Please denote ONE ITEM with a significant emotional importance to be their "prized possession" (this item does NOT have to be with them at their canon point - it will simply appear with them upon arrival). For reasons. CRAU PREMISE: For CRAU characters only, please include a short summary of your character's time in the previous game. Otherwise, leave this section blank (or delete it, you do you.) SAMPLE Provide one written sample which includes both dialogue and introspection. Either prose or bracket text is acceptable. You may link to a previous game post (if not locked), a thread from our TDM, or an entry from a musebox. Any linked sample must be no more than one year old.
