You don't need to lay out every detail of the plot at this stage — usually 3-4 solid sentences will suffice, just to give an idea of the impact and theme. Please try to give at last a week's notice if the event/plot is time sensitive (for example, if you want it to start/end on a specific day). Character(s) Involved: Killu and all the fighters!

Timing: Soon-ish? I plan to make a post and hijack a tower asap
Resolution: No, we will fight forever

Plot Summary: Nostradamus, in his time caring for the Little Catenas, befriends an NPC who's helping organize the PC gardeners to their tasks. He treats this woman with kindness, and as the month progresses makes a point to ask after her as if she's a Real Person. Yes, she's an NPC, but his soft Heart is leading to him showing her the respect he'd show any lady at court. He makes sure to come back to the Catena she's tending in particular, and chatters warmly at her about the neon plant he's received as payment and how it's thriving.
Character(s) Involved: Nosty
Outcome: I have no clue yet!
Timing: This month, when Nosty's feeling affectionate
Resolution: You tell me!

Plot Summary: Svelte Formal Dance, optionally a masquerade or an event where formal attire arrives from each character's world (please let me dress Coda in shiro ouji attire properly just once).
Character(s) Involved: Probably initiated by devs/doubleneon/NPCs.
Outcome: Probably at least one drunken brawl before the end of the night.
Timing: Prom season? I don't know, I'm just throwing out ideas.
Resolution: The dance is over.

Plot Summary: Glitches cause people to become older, younger, bigger, or smaller.
Character(s) Involved: No one in particular. Whatever you come up with that makes sense I guess?
Outcome: Characters would temporarily find themselves older or younger, or if the same age, just suddenly much larger or smaller physically. Think like Arietty size small all the way up to large person from One Piece size large. It could affect memories if the player so chooses. Characters may experience difficulty buying age-locked products or entering age-locked areas thanks to NPC gatekeeping or NPC harassment in which NPCs suspiciously know some (at least partly) factually accurate details. Tiny characters may require assistance getting around. Large characters may have difficulty getting inside buildings.
Timing: Whenever is most convenient and not in conflict with something else just as demanding. Lasts like a week or two.
Resolution: Maybe the only way to fix it is something inspired by the mushrooms and potions from Alice in Wonderland or like... coin operated fortune tellers machines like Zoltar from the movie Big.

Timing: When convenient.
Resolution: Everyone wakes up the next morning with a hangover.

Plot Summary: just some ideas for glitches!

Outcome: much cr had by all
Timing: doesn't really matter, just throwing out ideas here!
Resolution: nope

Plot Summary: Glitched bootlegs for all! So some characters discover that there are actually knock off versions of their canons available for streaming/reading/listening/viewing/playing/etc in the city, but they don't recognize them for what they truly are because they're so horribly done? For example, Game of Thrones errrr The Great Dornish Bake-Off has an anime opening, is only one season long and is entirely in Valyrian, the fight scenes involve lightsabers because neon, and there's an obligatory musical episode. (PLOT TWIST: ROBB WINS!!)
Character(s) Involved: $doubleneon?
Outcome:
The players get to have fun trolling their characters without actually canon puncturing them. The characters get entertained or confused or both?Timing: Anytime! It could be "just there all along" or "just a matter of time before they get taken down for copyright claims," lmao.
Resolution: They go viral... and then they're just gone. Or, like slime tutorials, they just keep reappearing under a different title. The Hunger Shames? The Walking Ned? How Your Mother's Brother Met Your Mother?

Plot Summary: It Is With A Heavy Heart I Report The Robots Are At It Again - chop shop is going to encourage tailgate to wreck stuff with his super strength because nothing is real and breaking stuff is fun. tailgate hits the base of a building which falls over and then dominos into a whole bunch of others that takes out a couple of city blocks while the two look on in abject horror at how quickly this escalated. unfortunately, generating so much destruction particles and effects means the FPS of the surrounding area takes a hit as well as latency. upgrade your brain computers guys, jeez!!
Character(s) Involved: tailgate and chop shop, anyone who wants their chars to be affected by the latency and FPS issues
Outcome: rubber banding, stuff randomly undoing itself or having a very belated response to actions like a cup floating in the air for a few seconds before going through the breaking animation, freezing up during frame rate drops
Timing: next few days or so, if convenient
Resolution: things would calm down when the destruction has settled and go right back to normal when the area is reset with the backup in the cache
no subject
For the purposes of the plot, the building demolition should be limited to 2-3 blocks, but the latency effects can be experienced city-wide. Would you be willing to toss up a brief OOC post to allow people to plot on?
(As a heads up, this is a fairly busy tail end of the month between memory shares etc and the mingle. I realize you're timing the plot re: Tailgate's arrival etc, but there could potentially be low participation due to that. Your call!)

Plot Summary: Kaneki has a regular NPC who suddenly glitches into the coffee shop on a regular basis. Nothing big, he shows up and asks for a coffee - if kaneki is there kaneki actually serves him, if kaneki isn't there, he gets served as part of the program - and then leaves by glitching through the door even though the door is locked. Because Kaneki is the type to be friendly to everyone and the type to get attached to anything that moves, he ends up wanting to befriend this man - also aided by the idea NPCs aren't just there to fill up space but they are actually important. His interactions with the NPC (or "native" as Ken calls them) are very much how one would interact with a real person - ask him about his life, his feelings, mundane stuff from what he had for dinner last night to where has he traveled to recently. Basically friend stuff, however he is also aiming to understand how NPCs work and how aware they truly are.
Character(s) Involved: Kaneki + NPC
Outcome: Up to the modli!
Timing: Whenever it works out best!
Resolution: Up to the modli!

Plot Summary: Synop or Mingle event where people periodically turn into animals. Triggers (under stress? When touching others?) Bonus: the animal form they take is somehow representative of their personality or nature.
Character(s) Involved: Everyone
Outcome: Drama. People who turn into cats getting petted. Happy doggos playing fetch. Someone accidentally stepping on an insect. Horse races.
Timing: When convenient?
Resolution: Event ends.

Plot Summary: Either synopsis or mingle event wherein a strange, potentially magical night market sets up shop in town, offering wondrous, useless, or potentially harmful wares.
Character(s) Involved: Everyone!
Outcome: People get weird experiences, items, and are potentially altered by what they get at the market
Timing: At the dear Modli's convenience
Resolution: Timing-based, the event ends and the market packs up and goes home

Plot Summary: Here's a couple really vague ideas floating around in the noggin, just to toss a couple hats into the ring:
- Age up/down event??
- Nightmare/dreams event. Maybe they're leaking into the "real" world, maybe some characters are falling asleep and can't wake up 'till someone else jumps in and helps them out, who knows. Honestly liable to become a Memshare Round 2: Uh Oh Boogaloo but there could definitely be a couple unreality/escher-y/bizarrely warped wrenches thrown in by the same glitches causing this to make people get a little more creative, if that's unwanted. Could probably be a very mindscape-y thing too? I think that an availability for host person to get all changed and warped within their dream/nightmare would be cool.
Character(s) Involved: No kickoff or person at fault in mind for either. These are very very foggy premises on my end. Could be something, or just another particularly bad batch of glitches.
Outcome: For age event: everybody has to deal with wack new bodies that are technically theirs, their teenage braces, their new back and joint problems, being a walking visual of their embarrassing tween years, etc.
For dreams/nightmares, characters adventuring in each others' uniquely individual mindscapes, with the company of the host person and interactability with all their funny brain stuffs, like memories, or just whatever crazy landscape their head's made out of.
Of course, everything's pliable to modli discretion, adding/removing/changing things & whatnot. :]
Timing: Whenever is convenient for either! Although the dreams thing might be nice for Halloween.
Resolution: Event(s) end

Plot Summary: Sudden instances of sensory deprivation for variable durations.
Character(s) Involved: Uhhhh.... caused by someone who could have that sort of widespread effect on a lot of characters?
Outcome: Characters lose one or more senses and need to perform an act in order to restore them one by one. The effect could wear off after a few hours to a few days if the player is concerned about their character not having the motivation or knowledge to fix it, but still wish to play around with it. It could be anything from the basic five senses to sense of pain, morals, fashion, direction, danger, self-worth, self-preservation, loyalty, humor, coordination, reticence, precaution, dignity, muscle tension, equilibrioception, proprioception, and the list goes on! I suggest having it be opt-in and hitting characters at random with no rhyme or reason. That way those who want to play with it can, and those who wish to opt out don't need to jump through hoops to avoid it.
Timing: Runs for maybe a week or so. For timing, wherever you can fit it in!
Resolution: In order to make it less of an Annoyance of the Week thing that will simply pass, perhaps give characters a goal that they can work together in order to bring to a stop. The level of participation can result in somewhat different outcomes and maybe prizes for characters that put in extra effort.

Plot Summary: Due to recent crimes against fun, Yakko and Mono will be breaking into the mall after midnight to ride the forbidden carousel unsupervised. I was told there may be consequences. Bring them on.
Character(s) Involved: Yakko and Mono, incensed by heightism
Outcome: We don't know yet
Timing: Sometime in May, not picky about exact dates. Before the mingle so within the first two weeks?
Resolution: Idk i'm just excited no matter how mundane or horrible the punishment may be. Perhaps they will develop an irreversible watermelon allergy? Perhaps they will fuse together like Jeff Goldblum and the Fly? We just don't know.

Plot Summary: While the NPCs have disappeared, Orpheus will be turning the Hex Diner into a makeshift mutual aid soup kitchen to make sure everybody gets fed instead of leaving this stuff to a dog-eats-dog free-for-all. Stop looting, guys, everyone can still get to eat for free!!!
Character(s) Involved: Orpheus and the help of many hands from other characters. I'm thinking about throwing up an OOC post so anyone who thinks their characters would volunteer can sound off, plus a mini-mingle open log for soup kitchen threads. It's a communal effort, baby!
Outcome: The Hex Diner is managed while the NPCs are gone and everyone (with a standard human diet) gets to be safely and reliably fed.
Timing: For the duration of the NPC disappearances.
Resolution: The NPCs return, and there's no longer a need to commandeer the space... unless the influence of turning from a Diner to a mutual aid soup kitchen remains? Those volunteering and working there get to eat the meals they make too, after all!

Plot Summary: The city of Svelte falls into a blackout.
Character(s) Involved: No one in particular comes to mind; could just be another typical Svelte break.
Outcome: In a city that's so extremely dependent on the presence of electricity, characters have to figure out how to survive when the main grid is knocked out. Batteries drain, the cell towers might be out, fridges stop running, the heating's out of commission... anybody got a generator and some good old-fashioned gasoline? Maybe a gas stove? And when night falls, the sky may still produce ambient light, but characters still have to navigate streets and buildings that are far darker than they've ever been. (Or maybe the sun, moon, and stars got turned off, leaving everyone in the pitch black, save for flashlights and lamps...)
Also, this is definitely the type of thing that could easily help serve as the backdrop to some other going-ons. ;)
Timing: Up to modli discretion! Maybe 'round Halloween? City blackouts don't tend to last longer than half a day, a day, or a few days at most; people work hard to get this stuff back up and running. But Svelte is a special case and I say do what you want. Also, you should look up the NYC Con-Ed power plant explosion that happened a few years ago. A bright blue electrical fire + an overcast sky in a reasonable hour of the night made for quite the light show; maybe something like that could kick this whole thing off. Look: (x) (x) (x) (x) (x)
Resolution: Power is restored! I dunno.

Plot Summary: Two ideas.
First: future vision, wherein characters get flashes of what will be/could be in their canon going forward from the point where they got stolen by the Sim. Players can opt for canon timelines where the character is present, alternate ones where their Sudden Vanishing is being dealt with by the forces back home, or both.
Second: "worldhopping." Some means of characters getting glimpses of the world where each other are from. Not literal plane-shifting, just seeing and feeling, probably some sim-within-a-sim shit. Ray Bradbury "The Veldt" nonsense. Or even sections of the city turning into places from home???? Whether this is accidentally or forcefully thrust upon the characters, or they get to choose to share these experiences, or both, it is up to however the event works out. Simulated VR-room worlds would probably have the most basic of figures to populate them, like NPCs with no programming and no purpose but to fill out an area so it's not Literally Empty. Or maybe they are empty!
Character(s) Involved: No one in mind in particular, other than players getting to fuck around.
Outcome: 1) Characters get insight on the future and all their what-might-bes when they go home. Cue panic and existential crises and all the fun punishments that come with both knowing the future and what may be occurring in a place that you can no longer visit and can do nothing about.
2) Characters get to see for real, in person, what each others' locales and places are like!! Wanna see this fucked up fairy magic maze? Now you can! Wanna see this cool alien sci fi world and the awesome spaceship I arrived in on it? Now you can!! Want to see this horrible dismal rainy apocalypse city I hail from? Now you can!!!! Cue the crossing of genre wires!
If the "worldhopping" event does go with the flavor of random chunks of the city turning into areas ripped out of characters' worlds, rather than funny Veldt-style VR rooms or something, then... I mean, well that pretty directly impacts the city. That's a thing.
Timing: Whenever, however long!
Resolution: Event ends? I have nothing in mind.

Plot Summary: An officially organized scavenger hunt. Admins divide up all the PCs into several loose groupings, and everyone needs to work together to collect and turn in a wide array of items on a list. These could range from innocuous (bubble gum wrapper! toilet bowl seat!) to unsettling, high stakes or dangerous (severed toe, large blood sample from a PC, poisonous snake or just animals that are annoying or risky to deal with, etc). You can even have items for which multiple interpretations are allowed or which are exclusive items that belong to PCs so there's only a limited number of teams that could turn it in. Characters can get items back at the end, of course. Characters can also create items that don't already exist, and trade for items their team needs. There's a lot of flexibility to make this as silly, fun or dark as you like.
Character(s) Involved: Everyone.
Outcome: Prizes for participation, for the team that has the most collected, and perhaps also special prizes for certain hard to find, high stakes, or thematically disturbing items turned in.
Timing: To give characters enough time to play this stuff out, you could have it run in the background for a month or two.
Resolution: Just decide on an IC deadline, and reveal the prizes after X amount of time.

Plot Summary: Not a plot, more just suggestions for shit to do with Prized Possessions that could be used in conjunction with/as events
Character(s) Involved: Everyone who wants to do things!
Outcome: Some suggestions for shenanigans include:
- Their PP turning into a/the person associated with it; as this would be a rather massive glitch, maybe there's a dedicated antivirus to something that would be designed to get rid of them. Glowing white beings...2!
- PP get randomly reassigned to other characters in conjunction with another event, where being reunited with your item provides safety from the event.
- NPCs/event entities that get hold of a character's PP can use it to control/manipulate the character like a game controller.
- Treasure/scavenger hunt for PP with increasing negative percussions for not finding it.
- Digital crows actively stealing PP and stashing them in their nests, except they're all the same nest in different iterations so it's totally random where your PP ends up once it's in a nest.
Timing: When would you like this to happen, and how long will it last?
Resolution: Most of them are just "ride out the event"/"get your shit back" which isn't amazingly entertaining but do with these what you will!
